So Engadget has a posting showcasing some screenshots of the new TiVo download service. Here’s a copy of one of their images:

I guess my Netflix hopes were a bit hasty. Looks like they’re just rolling out a service that lets you download shows you could have recorded anyway. Maybe there’s more to it? Let’s hope so. I want to be able to order movies on my TiVo!

Right now it is just trials, laying the groundwork for the technology for future use in broadband video on demand. So this is just a teaser.
BTW, since you’re such a TiVo fan - did you ever fill out their beta tester application? Would you be interested in playing with the new toys early?
I would love to play with their toys! Where’s the form, let me at it!

Ok, so I forgot. I had signed up. But I hadn’t updated my info since I got my HDTV, so maybe they’ll like me more now!
Well, I know some folks, maybe I can pull some strings.
Pull them strings, pull ‘em! I’m perfect, I swear. My HDTV is begging for a Beta TiVo to use on it. It is. I can hear it crying right now.
Drop me an email with the email address you used to sign up on the beta form and I’ll see what I can do.
BTW, have you played with any of the Home Media Engine applications yet? Like Galleon, Apps.tv, etc?

Oh, as of last night, http://www.tivolovers.com/ and http://www.tivolovers.com/info point to those same pages.
I keep meaning to check out the HME stuff, but I usually either sit down at my computer or at my TV, and forgot when I’m at one about the other. I mean, I don’t think about doing stuff to my TiVo when I’m at my PC. Unless I’m at work, somehow.
I sent you an email with what you used on this site, but don’t know if you got it! If not, send me a mail to tarablogger at gmail dot com.
