I love posting random stuff about myself on the internet, as you all know. A friend of mine twittered about a new twitter-type site called BeenUp2. It’s like twitter where you send updates about what you’re doing all the time, but it uses photos.
Since I have a shiny new iPhone with a built in camera and email, I’ve been making use of it. You take a picture, then email to a personalized address and it shows up on their site pretty rapidly. Here’s a “badge” with my most recent updates:
Checkout what I’ve BeenUp2!I hate the web-speak “wut u been up 2″? Come on folks, stop trying to be hip! But I like the concept. And you can say where you are when you send the picture and then see pics of locations, or maps of where you’ve been. It’s pretty cool. Very few people are using it right now, but it’s definitely growing. Curious to see if it goes anywhere or if twitter just eventually adds photo-tweets.
