In the process of revamping my blog I took a look at what other people were using for plugins. I was examing Binary Bonsai because his blog looks awesome (he is developing K2, which is a large modification to Wordpress that the theme I’m using is based on). He had a link to a site which lead me to the network of 43 sites: 43 Things, a site for tracking things you want to do, All Consuming for tracking books/movies/music, and 43 Places for tracking where you’ve been and where you want to go. There are a few others, but you can explore on your own if you’re curious.

I love tracking stuff, as you may know. I already have myriad ways to track my consumption, as they call it, so I was most interested in 43 Places. The coolest thing about it that I’ve seen so far is that it plots out where you’ve been on a map. You can go check out my profile at the site. Or looky here, I can embed my travel map into my post! (Note that I have not at all entered everywhere I’ve been. I just got started tonight and I really should be sleeping already)

I’m going to go and fill in more places I’ve been (blue) and places I want to go (orange) as I have time. But it’s pretty cool. People will think of everything, won’t they?

Just spent a lovely week in Cabo, Mexico with my family. Fun in the sun, lounging on the beach and barely touched a computer the entire time. For full reports on all the wonderful eating we did, check out my brother and sister-in-law’s blog, they’ve been posting reviews of a lot of our meals.

I may return with some info about my trip, and about the seven (yay, reading a book a day!) books I read on my trip. Quite lovely and relaxing.
