I’m currently enjoying some time off from work. In addition to seeing friends and family, I decided, hey, four characters isn’t enough, I’m going to start a new one. Meet Aynaka. Here she is, in her infancy. She’s a mage, and yes, she is decked out with that best of magely weapons, a broom.

I am having such a good time playing with this character. I know the early game is always really exciting, since you level up so quickly and get to new areas so fast. But I think being a mage is also just pretty darn cool. I reached level 10 in record time for me, 3 1/2 hours. I think it’s just because Aynaka rocks so hard. If you don’t believe me (why wouldn’t you believe me, huh? I’m so trustworthy!), here’s a screenshot:
Soon after I took these shots, I managed to find Aynaka a lovely red magely robe and a more traditional looking staff. But I neglected to take any screenshots. I’ll post some more later when she’s got some cool, uber garb on. For now, I leave you with this shot of my character selection screen, which shows Aynaka still looking pretty threadbare.
