They’re doing some really fun stuff in WoW for Halloween. There are decorations up all over the place, and you can trick-or-treat at locations to get goodies. Check out the write-up on AFK Gamer for a good description of what all is going on.
As I was travelling and gaming, I started taking screenshots for some reason. Like, “Ooh, this is neat, maybe people will want to see my character looking at virtual pumpkins!” Well. Probably not, but here we go anyway!
That’s Raelle, my newest character. Ok, my normal server was down and what was I to do? So I started a new character, a human priest on Dark Iron, the server were all the gaming web comics are battling for supremacy. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, basically the strips Penny Arcade, PvP and Ctrl-Alt-Delete all have guilds on that server and the fans are teaming up and fighting in massive all out attacks).
Here I am at an inn. Ooh, lovely jack-o-lanterns.
And upstairs, there are more decorations. Yippee!
And lastly, this has nothing to do with Halloween, but I finally saw a panda in the game. I’d heard rumors that you could get them as pets, but hadn’t seen it for myself. Well, here it is, I saw one! And now through the magic of the InterWeb, you can see it too!

Oh, one more thing. You might notice all my screenshots are in a wide aspect ratio! Yes, that’s my lovely monitor at work. I did scale them all down 50% so they wouldn’t explode all over the place for people viewing at a resolution below 1920×1200. Yes, I do love my new Dell monitor.

Yep, I have one of these Pandas. They’re really cute
- but you can’t get them anymore, since they only came with the collector’s edition (as a login gift), and that one’s sold out a long time ago, and as far as I know doesn’t come back :-/
WOW is decorating? Next thing you know TLC will have a show called “Trading Pixels”.
Oh I have a question for you. As a female when you chose a customizable character do you usually choose male or female?
I pretty much always choose a female. Yup.
Oh, and that’s so too bad about the pandas. They are super cute. I want a cool unique pet that almost no one else has! I guess I’ll have to settle for my cat.
