I just hit 70 with my first character in World of Warcraft. I know it’s hard to believe it took me this long, but I sort of stopped playing my main character months ago, and then stopped playing entirely shortly after that. But the Halloween events - excuse me, Hallow’s End events going on lured my old original Crazy Cattle crew back together to kill us some Headless Horsemen (or the same one over and over).
I was at level 69 and a quarter, or something like that. And I decided it was about time to hit 70, so this week I’ve been questing in Shadowmoon Valley and tonight I finally hit 70.
Here’s the moment of the ding:
Now I just need to buy my flying mount and start saving up for my epic flying mount! Though that’s a lot of grinding, we’ll see if I maintain interest in the game long enough to do that. I didn’t get my epic land mount until after the expansion came out, it might just be after Wrath of the Lich King comes out that I get that next mount up.
I should have enough cash on me to buy the normal flying mount, and if not, I have enough gold on some other characters to type the balance. Tomorrow I go soaring around Outland just because I can!

It was awesome to see you and the rest of old-school Cattle online, though a bit shocking, I’ll admit
Hope you’re all doing well!
The fact that you had the screenshot key ready when you dinged makes me think you are a hardcore geek. And the fact that it was a normal mob kill, not a quest turnin, makes it even more geeky. Camping the XP bar much?
I have a ton of gold…just let me know if you need a loan to get your ride.

Hey, it’s pretty clear when you’re going to ding when you have Titan Panel at the top of the screen saying “25 min to level”, “10 min to level”, “33 seconds to level”, etc. So I was just ready to hit the hotkey, ok?
It was actually from killing one or two mobs right after turning in a quest.
I bought my mount last night and flew around a bit. I actually still have 100 gold left.
Gratz Tara. I knew you couldn’t stay away forever. Now if you need a loan for that epic flyer, I’d be more than happy to help. My rates might be termed “usury” by anyone with a concept of what it entails, but can you really wait to get that super-fast flying mount? I don’t think so.
