After over two years, I decided the time was right to move on from Lucasarts. During that time I got to help create a game I am very proud to have been involved with, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I was the Lead AI and Gameplay engineer on the title, and all in all, it

Got back from the TFU launch event a little while ago. It was a lot of fun! There were fans in homemade costumes as well as the 501st out in force. Lots of people from the development team were there as well as the actors who voiced the game. George Lucas showed up for a

Ok, so I’m not talking about stopping reading or anything. I love reading, books are one of my big passions. But books are piling up on every surface of my home. I have several overflowing bookshelves. They just get more and more full, since I can’t seem to stop buying books. And at some point,

What do you do when you should be doing something else (like scrubbing your apartment clean)? Besides the big ones like playing Civilization or World of Warcraft there are lots of other things I do to while away my copious spare time. I thought I’d share what I’m doing now. I kept getting ads and offers for “AI Game Programming Wisdom 4″ from all over the place – including Amazon… and I am a contributor to the book.
On a related Amazonian note, like many people, I have an Associates account with links on my site. I looked at the purchases people had made through that account last winter. Mixed in among the various game dev books that people had bought off my links, I saw the following title:
“Big, Beautiful, and Pregnant: Expert Advice and Comforting Wisdom for the Expecting Plus-Size Woman”
The Sesame Street song kinda comes to mind. “Which of these things is not like the other? Which of these things just doesn’t belong?”

Hmm, I have an Amazon Associates account as well. I know they scan the site content to put up appropriate ads (down on my site at the moment, but will return when I have time to re-do things), now I’m wondering if they feed that info back to my purchasing data! That would be… creepy.
